We've not posted a newsbit on Mourning since May - in large part because they simply vanished without much of a trace. It seems there are some signs of life under the name <a href="http://www.ageofmourning.com/" target="_blank">Age of Mourning</a>, which has a place-holder page and a redirection to <a href="http://www.realmsoftorment.net/forums/" target="_blank">forums</a> at the realmsoftorment.net domain. There doesn't seem to be a whole of detail on the situation but here's one <a href="http://www.realmsoftorment.net/forums/showthread.php3?s=5f6608123c83baf1f3d4e201b0145c16&threadid=20932" target="_blank">post</a> from Community Manager Draaken:<blockquote><em>We will start a closed beta the next days. Some chosen players will have the chance to be part of this beta.

I'm floored. I've been checking in on this game every couple of weeks since they refunded their subscribers and shut down their old forums- and now this, out of the blue!
It's good to see their fans are still supportive at least. *cough*

I see something about races and orcs, so I get the medieval, this RPG or MMOG? |

It is an MMORPG, similar to Risk Your Life, or so I hear.

It can't be that bad. Screenshots look nice. Isn't this the game that took pre-orders, then disappeared? Or was it the one where one of the devs had a meltdown on the boards? |

Actually, it's both. (Although the pre-orders thing was just an early accusation; they did actually go live for a few months and THEN disappeared.) I actually do wish them well... I don't know what forces compelled them to release the game so early (there were almost no quests, most areas and towns were completely unpopulated) but it sounds like they've had some time to fix things up a bit.
