| Been booted from the Old Camp, how do I join the New Camp? |

I talk to Lee and he says nothing about joining the New Campers. Should I get the "Important to the Old Camp" object and give it to him? I want to be a New Camper Water Magician?
Also, when I do manage to join, can I go straight to Water Magician from my Magic Level 3 Fire Magician? |

If you want to be a mercenary talk to Saturas (water mage) and ask about joining the New Camp (or something like that, I don't remember). If you want to be a water mage just talk to Saturas and ask about joining the mages.

hmm my memory is a little vague, think you need to go to saturas, tell him you wanna be a water mage, he sends you to another Water mage, speak to him, and voila! your a water mage |

Thanks to both of you! I actually figured this out just after I posted this. I went to talk to Saturas again (I was by then reduced to speaking to all the mages and then all the New Campers to see if someone would take me). I noticed that I could tell Saturas that it was his fault that I was out of the Old Camp, but never had as I thought he would get mad and blast me. So, being at my wits' end anyway, I said it and got into the New Camp as a Water Mage! Ha ha! *runs off to play some more* |

I don't think you can become a mercenary if you're already a mage (circle of fire). So don't bother Lee about it.
If you were a shadow (unlikely) or guard, then you can approach Lee to be a Mercenary after you're no longer with the Old Camp.

Talk to Saturas, then talk to Lee.

You can do it that way - Become a guard then talk to Saturas that you want to become a Water mage  . I've tried it, it worked!!!

None of you mentioned this, but this recently happened to me, when the quest comes to take out the Old Camp bastards at the New mine, you will see Lares standing on the bridge, talk to him and you will instantly become Heavy Merc (Not sure, but I think this can only happen if you were recently a Guard). You were all thinking about Lee, but Lares is the guy who makes you Heavy Merc, and Saturas makes you Water Mage.Oh and also, you can become both Water Mage and Heavy Merc at the same time, I did! Just become Merc first, then talk to Saturas to become a Water Mage.

Lares is never standing on the bridge. Actually it's Lee who's on the bridge, so yes, it's Lee who'll make you a heavy.

Oh, and of course, Jaz is right. It's Lee on the bridge, not Lares. Lares is the leader of the Rogues. Lee, on the other hand, is leader of the mercenaries, and has the power to do that.

It's from a website called 3D festival. One of their writers interviewed Kai R. from PB on Gothic 2. The article used to be on their front page... it's not anymore, but the website was talked about in another thread.
It's a picture of a Gothic2 dragon-hunter/warrior, of the PB art dept.
