I'd like to know about this too

I have the same question, does anyone know if there's a way to do it?

I too would like 3rd person crosshairs. Anyone who wants to make a mod for it has my permission.

Crosshairs in 3pv would be great. I like this view much better myself. This might help. While you are doing whatever your doing, picture the crosshairs being directly in the center of the back of your head. No this isn't a joke either. That's how it appears to work. Go try and pick up an item like this, you'll see what I mean.

On some races its not directly centered behind the head. The best way to see where your crosshairs SHOULD be would be to switch to first, center your crosshairs on something, then switch to third and see what part of your body constitutes the center of the screen. That is where your crosshairs should be.
