I found this key called The Skelleton Key in the room where the master thief was. (In the backroom of the library in Vivec), what is it for? |

It opens ANYTHING, but has a limited number of uses - 50 I think. |

There are many (about 4) skeleton keys in the game, you can find the others in the Editor, as I only know of one. This one is a gift for achieving a high rank in the Thieves Guild. I think another one is found in the Hlallu Vault, but I may be thinking of the full suit of Glass.

Yeah, I just became the Master Thief and he gave me the Skeleton Key. I wonder since you stole it, Will he still give you the Skeleton key if you become Master Thief?
I still have a save right before I killed the guy in the last quest. Maybe I will load it up and try.
Not like it really matters though. I haven't found a lock that I couldn't open in a long time. |
