So, I was doing the "Judge Lackey Quest" thingy, when all of a sudden the fellow directed me to Xardas Tower? I mean, huh? Isn't it the point that no one knows about our Dark Magician friend up there? Since he's like... an outcast or something? Or am I wrong?
On another note, I gave the hammer of the Fire Magicians to him, but... Is there a way to get it back? That bugger is immortal. _________________ Evil is Life in its purest and most naked form. |

Only two ways to get it back from Da Judge that I know, and both are cheats:
1. Use marvin mode to edit his stats and make him mortal -- then beat him up for it.
2. Use marvin mode to possess him, have him drop the hammer, "repossess" your hero and take the hammer.
I find the lack of a way to get the hammer back without cheats to be a disappointment, but it's a small one.
If anyone knows of a way to do it without cheating, please let us know. _________________ imposterAZ

Enlight me please. Is the "Judge Lackey Quest" only available if you are playing the game as a mercenary or not?If not in which chapter and how is the task triggered?
ANother thing "Judge Lackey " is the official name of the quest?I mean like it appears on the mission menu? _________________ I come from space. From outer space! |

This is a task only available if you are playing as a Merc. It is available in Ch 5, so you can get access to the ship. Lee will suggest it when you whine to him that you need a ship. I don't remember what it is called officially, though.
The idea is to get into the Judge's good graces by doing him a "favor", then he will give you a way to take the ship. _________________ imposterAZ

Uhm. Actually, I'm in Chapter 3...
Lee gave me the quest together with the quest involving Bennet. I know the quest title has the words "Judge's Lackey" in it, but I don't remember the exact phrasing. I'll check when I get back home.
Seems Lee just wants to get back at the judge, though. Just gotta find some incriminating evidence.
And that sucks. I wanna get that hammer back, but I don't want to cheat.
edit: The exact quest name is "The Judge's Lackey". _________________ Evil is Life in its purest and most naked form.

Okay. If there's no other way...
How do I "edit" an NPC's stats and make him mortal? _________________ Evil is Life in its purest and most naked form. |

Does the Judge carries the Sacred Hammer on himself?I mean does he "wear" it as an 1-handed or a 2-handed weapon?
What I want to say is that if he doesnt "wear" ti the nhe must have store it somewhere 'cause when you arm a NPC( traders mostly) with a weapon and its the best they make it their primare weapon. If I remember correct the Judge had no weapon.Do you get the point? _________________ I come from space. From outer space! |

That hammer has ??? on str requirement. I used it as novice with 20 str. He should be able to equip it. But maybe not and it's in a chest somewhere. But I know it's not the one where he keeps his blood chalice. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

He equips it. 'Cause I attacked him and he hit me over the head with it. Why on earth did they make him immortal anyway? It's not like he's an important plot figure... Or is he? _________________ Evil is Life in its purest and most naked form. |

First, get into marvin mode (enter your status screen, type marvin then close the status screen).
Now focus on the character you want to modify and hit F2. This brings up the Console. In the Console type: edit focus and hit enter. You will now see a screen with several stats and settings for that character. To make him mortal, type: flags = 0 and hit enter. Those with Flags set to 2 are immortal.
Once you've done that, hit F2 again to exit the Console and you can now beat him up and take the hammer back. _________________ imposterAZ

Why the Judge is immortal when playing as a merc |
|
The judge is immortal when you play as a merc because after you become his "lackey" you get a quest which results in fulfulling you orginal quest from Lee to get incriminating evidence against the Judge all due, as you will later find out, to your need to get him (da judge) to give you a letter authorizing you to gain access to the ship to go to the final phase of the game on the Isle of Idorath. So be careful about making him mortal.
To make him mortal I suggest you #1 enter marvin mode 2 face him, 3 press F2 and type "edit focus" (without quotes) on the edit window type "fl" and flag = will appear the type 0 (zero not o) to make him mortal, kick his butt, get the hammer, then reset him to flag = 2 so he will be alive and well when you need him later to get the letter. |
