All those concerned about leveling should also realize that the only thing in this game levels do is pit stronger foes against you. So, you can have a VERY strong level 10 character that can take on almost anything in the game, or a weak "jack of all trades" type character that can do only one or two things well.
If you think about it, you could easily have a level 30 character that has never been in a fight. And the first time this character enters a fight, (s)he will have fighting skills of a level 1 character. But the monsters (s)he fights are level 30 (or so) monsters. One image comes to mind... minced meat.
One thing holds true of this game world. One should not be eager to level. Leveling in this world is bad. It does nothing but makes your opponents strong. _________________ (@) |

MoonDragon, I disagree. I've been levelling up quite quick, but I was using HtoH which levelled up really quickly and I had no problems with fights. Then when I trained up on Short Blade and used it a bit I was almost invincible. It depends what stats you level up. If someone was to level up all a character's non-violent skills, like Sneak, Security and magic skills without fighting and then get into a fight, they might have a hard time.
I dread starting my new character, a pure mage, as it's going to be hard to get him up to the level where he doesn't have to keep brewing restore Health potions :p Especially as his sign is Atronach, as that means more brewing of Restore Magicka. Oh well, it is too easy playing with my lvl 65+ Khajit Mage/Thief so a bit of a challenge will make a refreshing change. _________________ --

well... if you had a character with all str based skills... then you would have a problem there.... personally i go for the fighter/mage type... he can use a sword and decent armor, and have spells (alteration, conjuration) or aid him in battle.... its nice _________________ Moo.
