NWN: HotU - Official Campaign Single-Player Only

A post on the Bioware boards from Greg Zoeller points out that the official Hordes of the Underdark campaign is single-player only (it breaks when played MP). Note that the link may contain some spoilers.

...

Thanks for the warning. I wonder why they do this to NWN, which is obviously designed to be a multiplayer game. I'll skip this one.

Your strange.
HotU is incredible and so far the Single Player Official Campaign is great. The multiple henchman makes it more worthwhile.

Heh, well, actually I don't like D&D games that much in general. Besides, me and a friend of mine bought NWN solely because it supposedly had good multiplayer support - it is a strongly advertised multiplayer game after all, and indeed it was quite fun, as was the first expansion and of course some modules. But as far as single player games go, we prefer other RPGs.

That shouldn't stop you from enjoying your game, of course.

ok I'll give you that.
In defense there are some really good single player mods including HotU itself. Its really good.
But myself, I only play on my own persistatn world. Where else you goign to find a toolset and DM client this good with free PW multiplayer capabilities?

there are better games for single player. IWD and BG come to mind. All the ultimas, etc.
