Woot, got home yesterday to see my package had arrived, and played quite a bit last night. Great job on this mod. I was wrong to think the mixture of German and English voices would be distracting.
I just wanted to thank you for doing this. I love Gothic and Gothic 2, but never fully experienced G2. I got to Chapter 3 originally, but it didn't run good on my old system at the time, so I shelfed it till I upgraded and the expansion came out. It's great to play it again. Runs awesome now, and it's really alot better from what I remember, with the new changes. Just lovin' it. _________________ -Jim |

Thanks for your answer. In the jowood's forum soulshifter(moderator) said that is sure <THE GAME WILL BE RELEASED> We dont know when, but i suppose in this summer!
And i dont understand exactly you mean the characters voices are german and the dialogs in english or the voices and the dialogs will be in the english, too?? |

Only text.. And I'm content with that. I didn't even know that I know German so well, I didn't really need the translation |

This is only the written text translation. Yes, there are some errors in it, mostly grammatical and some typos and sentence building ones, but all in all, in general, it's OK. It is being worked on and improved whenever there is time to do it, but please note that all this was done by the people in addition to their everyday other tasks, which mostly take the first place on activities list
But, whenever possible, this will be improved further, but all in all, you should be able to play with it through the add-on - and the game - without any issues and understand all what's been said there, even if you don't speak a word in german _________________ Been there, done that . . . |

If i order the german NOTR, do i need gothic gold to play or can i use my english gothic 2, that i have, then update it with the german NOTR and then apply the patch? Is that the sequence. If somebody could explain the order that would be appreciated.
Thanks all _________________ "Frankly my dear, i don't give a damn" |

You could just only order the German NOTR and use it on the US version; but, look at Elkston posts points (search function) on why some wish to have gotten the full gold edition.
For the high cost of shipping and stuff, it is better to spend the extra few dollars to get the full german gold edition that includes the original german and add-on. They are both patched already and you have the EXE on hand (instead of extracting from the german patch).
There are several post on how to put it together all over these threads so I will not go into detail on that repeat. _________________ Wo ist mein Sumpfkraut? |

hey.. but if you buy german gothic 2 (gold) the text from the original game will be in german, and speech too
tell me if i'm wrong but i think that it's better if you install the addon and the mod on an english version of g2. |
