| Player's Strategies for Managing Quests? |
|
As much as I love Morrowind, I find the journal to be a pain in the way that it doesn't give any indication as to which quests are still active, and which are completed. My work keeps getting in the way of my life in Morrowind, so it is sometimes several days between sessions. When I come back to the game, I can never remember which quests I was working on for the Thieves Guild, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, House Hlaalu etc. Has anyone come up with a simple but effective way to deal with this?

i just write the quests down on a pice of paper.
The quest name only is enough so you can find it in the topics.
Very easy solution.
Negative point is i have papaers everywhere on my desk right now

There are currently two mods that will help you with this:
- one will convert your journal to txt file with which is much easy to work than with normal file with a lot strange things in it
- one will convert your journal into database where you can make a lot of things with it (for example mark finished quests etc.]
There is post about both plugins in plugin depot forum, just use search function. |

i think the journal gets to big very fast.
Normally you wouldn't even be able to carry that book.

I simply never accept more than two quests at a time, makes it very easy t keep track of things. |

How can you restrain yourself to two quests..? I have (probably) over 100 unfinished quests going on because everytime I find a new one I think to myself "Hey, this one sounds interesting. I won't forget about THIS one." and 20 seconds later it's lost in the depths of my 300+ page journal.
Gothic had a GREAT journal, btw. Wish someone would make a Gothic Journal Mod for Morrowind (C) (TM). |

i use paper as well. i find that if i just keep the general topic on the sheet of paper that will que me to find all the little details from the in game journal (just us the topics tab). that way i don't end up with too much paper. between my simple hard copy scribbles & the in game journal i have been able to make things work so far.
