how do I replace the gin in the chest with water?

It's like trading, just move the water from your inventory to the chest and the gin to your inventory.

that's not the problem..If I open his chest, everyone in the tavern will go berserk...i'm sorry that i was unclear

Try it again at night (sleep until midnight and wait).
IIRC between 1°°AM and 2°°AM most guys are leaving the taverne.

I did it the easy way. Lured a poor innocent scavenger into the inn. Then as the whole inn fought the scavenger, I nonchalantly opened the chest and swapped the drinks, then went over and whacked said scavenger once with a crit hit and got the xp for the scavenger also! |

I also used a scavenger to lure the boy away.
After they start, go to sleep twice. Then head to the doorway and let the bartender stop you. No point in standing there and waiting. |

This i dont understand either..it was a long time ago i did this quest but i still remember that i failed it.. I changed the gin to water but Randolph still lost..is that supposed to happen or is it a bug? |
