Focus Stone Dilemma

I have retrieved & turned in 4 of the 5 focus stones. Earlier in the game I had visited the site with the column and slew the snappers & shadowbeast. Dont remember if there was a focus stone there then. Now with this task Gorn is there but doesn't offer to help. Is the focus behind the locked door? Am I out of luck? Must I cheat? If so how? I read that one shouldn't go into this place until one has the task to do so. kw

The shadowbeast was in front of a door. Behind them there is the focus. They should be open, if they are not I guess you will have to use Marvin Mode to get the focus.

Focus stone at Orc fortress?

I'm having trouble getting the focus stone at the Orc camp. I read that there would always be someone to meet and help you, however, there is no one there to help me. I did use a molerat transform spell, and was able to get in past the orcs, and past the first gate, and checked out the passages to the left and right, but I can't get into the middle gate cause the lever won't move. You know, the gate behind the four Orc's bowing down to that idol or something. I have no clue what to do next.

Help please, thanks in advance.

( first time going thru Gothic )

I may be wrong, sure. But as far as I remember there is NO focus stone in the orc town. The focuses are at:

1. You get it from Cor Caloms chest.
2. There is a stone circle where you meet Mitlen ( you could mistake this place with the orc town because they are quite close to each other )
3. At the monastery where you met Gorn.
4. In a valley close to the old camp where you meet a trol and Diego.
5. In a castlle in the mountains where you meet Lester.

How to Marvin?

I have only used Marvin mode to become alive again after accidently saving while dead. Am in front of the door where the shadowbeast was previously. Have entered Marvin mode where lots of type popped up describing my situation. How does it work? kw

You should check this link to learn all about Marvin Mode:

http://gothic.rpgdot.com/index.php?hsaction=10062&game=gothic&l1=Cheat%20Guide&infoID=48

And you should just spawn the focus stone not try to open the doors it will be much easier (I'm not sure if there is a cheat to open doors)

Found it, thanks.

Thanks for your help, I have the last focus stone, and it was the easiest one to get. Yes it was close to the orc camp, but not there. It was in that tomb with the undead guy guarding it.

Cool, at chapter 4 now, thanks again.

@kw You don't need to use marvin mode to open that door... The key to it is in a cavern of some sort, below the beam you had to cross in order to get to the moanstery...

The only thing I've ever stored in chests was ore, and it was the first time I played Gothic and was about to let Kharim kick me. I was too weak to give any resistance.

Need help again!

Only so I don't have to scroll through so many items.
Have moved on to Chapter 4, old camp closed, found Dexter but not Gorn. Tried spawning him but new (FM- level 15 not 999) Gorn didn't pick up the storyline. Tried character helper & storyline helper. Need either a good Gorn or quest bypass. kw

Dexter? You probably mean Lester and the quest that Diego gives you. You don't have to do it, it isn't improtant, so you can just go on.

But, the game cannot go on without Gorn, Korzen... Remember? It is very important that you fix him.
Isn't he still at the monastery where you left him?
