Can't open gate to minecrawler queen. When trying to use winch get the message "Winch is jammed". Am a level 14 Shadow and have run around trying to find a task to complete that will unjam the winch and found another winch (valley of Troll) that is jammed. What's with the jammed winches? |

It is a bug. You should allways save before using a winch.

You can use marvin mode. Pull up your character screen, type 'marvin', then close the screen. Now get close to the gate and press 'k'. You will teleport forward a short distance.

I dont´know. You can cheat though. But wait until the smarter persons answer the question.

If I teleport past the gate, then I'll have to take on all the minecrawlers with no where to run. Is there no way to open the gate? |

I think you have to restart or load a other saved game.

Use the search tool, Gorath has written the solution to this, somewhere.
I think that there is a Z trigger event that you can use.

You have to complete quests first, in the case of the minecrawler queen you have to take the gear wheel to the mine boss(i can't remember his dang name......the one you got the list from earlier), then talk to the dude in front of the winch. He will make you go get some help before he will let you open the gate.
The winch in the troll canyon will be "repaired" by an old friend on another quest.
The winch to the Orc cemetary will unstick after you are sent there on yet another quest. |
