I've been reading the forum for a while, but this is the first time I actually write here.
Does high dexterity give the character any advantages in closecombat? (faster block, or something)
I have beaten the game with a lvl 40 DHunter, and now playing a paladin (22).
By the way, I have found yet another way to collect infinite gold. Bennet sells you 2 redhot steels every time you speak with him. Then simply just End dialog and talk to him again. However, Bennet must be working at the anvil at that time.
(ASSUMING YOU KNOW HOW TO FORGE)
Will the Gothic 2 expansion pack finished soon?

Firstus, welcome to the forum.
Secondus, you seem to move faster I know. I noticed if I needed to back up for some reason, I backed up faster. I also noticed after gained master in xbow, you shoot faster. It seems to help close combat by being able to swing a little faster.
Thirdus, noone seems to know for sure about the english version of the addon. April 2004 as a release date has been mentioned. There's a few discussions here already. You've probably read them but they've put a link to Atari in one of them.
PS watch out for Gorath when asking about the add-on. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

I dont know if Dexterity helps you in combat but it helps inlockpicketing and pickpocketing.Espessialy in pickpocketing you must have certain levels of DEX to pickpocket NPCs. _________________ I come from space. From outer space! |

With dexterity maxed at anything over 100/120 and with the top crossbow,
and strength very high, when you aim and lock-on to the focus you will get
down on one knee, then from a safe reasonable distance, - - - - - -
Your enemy will not see you and will not know where the arrow(bolt) came
from, so for instance with a pack of orc's you can see them all off,
one by one, - - COOL. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

You get down to one knee if you are trained as a master at the crossbows not if you have over 100/120 dex....... _________________ I come from space. From outer space! |

Yes that is correct,
I should have given even more details, with the dexterity as mentioned
the crossbow/bow distance for the focus is very far, sometimes as just tiny
dots in the distance (that IS very far!) because of the extra dex' _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |
