If you people want truely non-linear gameplay then you should definalty check out Morrowind. And with the editor it will have so many choices and other things you can do that it will definatly keep you busy at least until if not way past the time when Gothic 2 is released

I'm just as excited about Morrowind as the next person, but no one can say how good, bad, linear or nonlinear it will be. It looks unbelievable, but all we really know is what we've seen in a cool preview and some great movies. To say "if you really want..." about Morrowind is premature to say the least, no one has played it.

I have a lot of confidence in Morrowind, but c'mon, it wouldn't be the first game that had a great preview and turned out to be lame (which it won't)!

The fact is that you don't know, no one here does. It isn't yet time to become a Morrowind evangelist. Peace.

(Brak's quote) ...it's always there to rescue me, when something goes kaput!

anywho, jabberwhacky, if you kill everyone and raid their bodies, of course the game's gonna be too easy! if you play honestly, and have some since of moral fiber as to not kill people senselessly in the first place, your gaming will be much more challenging, making it faaaaar more enjoyable. mostly the rest of what you said made since. cept the party stuff. that should be optional. sometimes you want a dude by your side, hackin away at the beasties, and other times u wanna be a lone gunman. the world should like beef up the monsters or spawn more when you have a party, and then decrease the monster population when you ditch em.

THAT would be cool.

Heh...im just sayin that Morrowind will be a truely non-linear game. Gothic was non-linear through the first part of it but then it wasnt. Morrowind will be completly non linear. I've already reserved my copy of it...

I understand what you're saying and I'm sure it will be everything you claim. So far the few people who've been lucky enough to play the beta have loved it.

All I'm saying is that as of this moment, we are still forced to take someone else's word. To me, until it's released, it's vaporware. I'm not impressed by how innovative vaporware is.

About the things in Gothic II:

-I think there should be some horses or something, which you can ride on.
-More weapons.
-Much more skills.
-No pickpocketing.
-Bigger colony. (I know they already do this)
-More camps. (I know they do this to)
-Much more NPC's!
-Much more quests!
-No things that're cut from the game!

Anybody knows more?? When we have a lot of good suggestions we can send it to Phenomedia!

Unrealistic this late in development.

-More weapons.

Probably already done.

Again, unrealistic in any game development. Afterall would you want them to leave something in that is stupid, buggy and refuses to work. I wouldn't.

LexXx, there were never any arena fights in Gothic. They weren't cut out, the reference was there for atmosphere, to give you an idea as to the kind of place the OC was.

TomTom told you this directly when you asked him about it in the G2 thread:

"The InExtremo concert was cancelled in the international version because of the rights...but there were no missions deleted as I know....nope, there weren't any arena fights....

TomTom"

He told you himself, it's time to let it go!

Yes, I know, but a few posts later he told me that there probably was one arena-fight! He wasn't sure about it himself and I know there was an arena-fight, because my friend saw an arena-fight on one of the first few days....

I know what your friend said, I also remember that you decided he was full of it! My landlord told me he found Royal Guard Armor in a chest in the OC and that is an insert only armor. People say things to set themselves apart.

Plus, as obsessed as you are about these arena fights, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that your friend is just saying this to push your buttons.
