got to a place with a gate blocked by one of kar kalum servents. i killed him but the gate doesnt open. there is a room in the left side but the only switch there opens a wall where i can find a good 2h sword. but no switch to open the gate.

try to visit all the other rooms first and to kill all the magicans in there. The gate opens then. There is a second room somewhere, where you have to use your bow and open a the "door" to a very little room under you. There is a mumie inside. Try to press the button on the mumie.
