Things you DO like about Morrowind.

I got pretty sick of all the posts pertaining to complaints and junk...so I decided to dedicate a topic to things people LOVE/LIKE about Morrowind and leave out any negatives please!

I've said previously I love the Storms, sky, and water! Amazing. But that's just a start...

Call me nuts, but:

I enjoy the way you get fined for stealing from merchants...that adds a whole new element of realism in the game. You either pay a fine or go to jail...so, in theory, those players who have lots of cash get away with everything...

Hell, if O.J. could do it, why can't our characters in Morrowind??

Not necessary, the corrupted guards actually take alot of loot away when I paid the fine. Pretty annoying.

Solution, Cast chameleon class spell, steal away, never get caught. If you are a thief/stealth type and havn't found and Chameleon effect spells, boy are you missing out. It is invisibilty but you cannot be interupted. You can attack, steal anything and you stay Invis'd and unnoticed for the duration of the spell...awesome

They'll take away anything you ever stole that is in your possession at the time you pay your fine (or go to jail). If you're a thief, it's best to just avoid them all together (particularly if they are running toward you). I've never had a guard take something frm me that I didn't steal, of course, I make it point to not get caught either.

The things i like about the game are the incredible graphics, the awesome storyline, and the incredible classes/races. I also love the side quests that can turn into the biggest part of your gaming time. Example, turning into a vampire. One little bite, and it changes the whole game forever (unless you change back to human). These little things i love, and this is what makes a great CRPG game.

i like the fact that when i'm snooping through people's crates and barrels and sacks that i'll come across a cool looking enchanted item and then just to be safe before i pilfer it i hit quicksave and if my attempt at stealing doesn't work i reload and .... the same container doesn't have the cool item in it! i don't know if this is some planned feature or what but i've had it happen to me on several different occasions. and while some people might be a bit miffed about it i think this is pretty cool. it's sort of like a built in penalty for being a bit too quicksave happy.

that, and i just love how engrossing the gameplay is. i haven't played a ton but i'm taking my time and finding it very rewarding.

My problem is being a fighter/thief.

Does invisibility potion help? I have to try that. Thanks for the tip.

I like the fact that I am willing to walk where others might take a ride, just to see what is on the way, regardless how long it might take.

I like how the pre-recorded voices change depending on the NPCs attitude toward you.

I like how I have invested about 20 hours in this thing and haven't even started the first main quest.

I like how quests seem to come from nowhere and you have more things to do at one time than in any other game you've ever played before.

I like how things look, and I love the rain and the thunder and the water and the sand storms, etc. etc.

I like how MW is like psychotherapy for Dark Age of Camelot and Everquest burnouts.

I like how I now feel my GeForce3 investment was justified.

I could go on, but I like MW too much to stay away from it any longer

Unfortunately that won't work. That was part of my point..with Invisibilty things once you snoop into a pack or container you are revealed regardlyess of the time left on the spell..thats the difference between Chameleon and Invis..Chameleon nothing can reveal you except dispelling the spell or the effect wearing off..
