Dark Mushrooms give +10 mana

ok i was at the monastery gate about to give my sheep. I ahd low health so i desided to eaqst some dark mushrooms...i had 37 at the time. i ate them one after another, but when i ate like 10 or 12 i got +10 mana and the level up sound. Ati accualy did get +10 mana. I'm gathering Digger meat to try the same thing.......I'm thinking thats why Coristo, the alcamist that you can work for, wanted them so badly.

I think it's a pretty random effect. I've had the same thing happen with other plants.

It's like around 50 dark mushrooms. It's not random. It happens every time. Like around 25 apples gives you 1 str. And Thekla's stew gives you 1 str.

Increasing mana etc

Does it mean that whenever you eat so much dark mushrooms you get 10 points mana?
Same with the apples?
What else except for stew one can eat and achieve more points and of what?

Btw I noticed that when I pray at Innos shrines I can get bonus strength. I think one or five(not sure any more) with donation of 100 and hitpoints when I donate 50 gold. But it seems to me you can pray only once a day with some result. Otherwise you only get eternal gratitude from Innos and you loose your money.

Unfortunately no. It's a one time bonus for apples and dark mushrooms.

Dragon roots give 1 strength each
goblin berries give 1 dex each
Coragon's beer gives you 1 mana but I think you have to be short mana for it to work.
Reading a book, the secrets of the stars, gives you 1 mana I think(or is it 2?)
There's 2 books Lutero sells that give you 5 points for weapons one time each.

True about the shrines. You can pray and donate 100 gp one time per game day for ten game days to get a bonus, This one does seem random. I've gotten str, dex, hit points, and mana as a paladin, gotten str, dex, and hit points as mercenary, and gotten mana, strength and hit points as a mage. Best to save before you pray, if you don't like what you get maybe you can get something different.

Also, if you donate 1000 gold 50 gp at a time to Daron the priest of Innos in the marketplace, you get a whole BUNCH of hitpoints. Like 85 I think, plus 2 mana, 1 lp, and some xp.

A mage (and a novice) always gets 4 mana for a 100gp praying.

@megadev
I think mages mostly get mana, but it seems I got hit points once and strength as a novice. If so, it only happened once each, so if it happens it's very rare.
