i installed gothic everything working to this point.
But then when i start up gothic i get this error message acces violation:

i've tryed nearly everything: installing drivers again and again , direct x 8.1 , windows update.......
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz reply i really cant wait to play this game!!!

i've got a
p2 333 mhz
tnt2 32 meg
128 mb ram
and i dont know the sound card(something from yamaha)

yak! with that puter, you will not enjoy gothic, Even if you do get it going.
U need atleast a p3-700 gf2 and 256 mb of ram to even begin to enjoy the stunning gfx and performance of this killergame.

I played the demo on half detail at 1024 at 768 and not once my pc slowed.

Demo and full version are based on the same build. If the demo worked the full version should also run.
You could try to reinstall DirectX8 and/or install the patch.

Which Patch????
i tryed allready to instal the german version off the patch but it didn't work cuz my version is english and it keeps asking for some german other cd's if i instal the patch!!!!!!
or is there some english patch i don't knoz off??
i ALREADY tryed to reinstal all the drivers and direct X What should i do???
ive wasted 40 $ for a game that doesn't even work!!!!! |

Click on 'Hosted Sites' to find the patch.
If you installed the German patch 1.08h over the English version 1.08j you have to uninstall and reinstall the game. |

But the patch sais it's only for geforce 3 and radeon cards!!!!
