I suppose the citizen isn't too bad. He's got that whole wizened holy man thing going for him.

Some of the water mages will probably show up.

Cor Angar! He's the coolest guy in Gothic, and I really hope he appears in Gothic 2!

I hope thief skills become more of a nessecity in the town. So long as they improve the Sneak mode. I bet some of the Mercenaries will join the Milita.

I think lester, Gorn, Diego and Milton will come back to help out a second time arround.

Quests may also include helping Lee bring down some of those nobles who set him up.

Is milotn the only fire mage left or were there others outside the barrier?
This might force him to a kind of high position.

Lester might be residing in the high castle he got the deed for.

As for Gorn and Diego they might remain in the same place or might be a leader of some guild of something. They always seemed to like being on their own and not pursuing any High position.

The main character might be badly hurt after his encounter. It might take a while to regain his strength. His ore armour most likely is destroyed and his sword energy depleted. A bit of memory loss might also occur.
I think he would rise to take the place of the Warlord that Xardas told him about, after all he was part of the orc legend.

Xardas and the other magicians may have their own problems trusting each other again.

Cor Angar and Lee might have to join for a while in order to hold off the kings army, although he might not have much of a army left and might be begging Lee to come back.

Cor Angar might continue his teachings of brotherhood and swampweed :smile:without the sleeper.

All in all the whole story and idea behind Gothic is ideal for a Movie!!!!!!!

Yes, it is.. or for a book.

A little comment, or suggestion:

I hope we won't walk around with a "super-character". I never liked being the best(by far).

It is too unrealistic that the character becomes a superhero without the others gaining a single level.

The mentors in the game such as Cor Angar and Lee should always be better to make the whole world more realistic.

I suspect that the character will be robbed, to explain his lack of ore armor and Uziriel.

And they pretty much have to set you back to level 1, because it wouln't make any sense if you started the game as a person who can kill the entire world single-handedly.

That's my point! You used the perfect words it.. how can a guy get robbed, killed or put in prison when he's able to kill the entire world all by himself?

No army in the world can take out the guy we make in Gothic, so the story is screwed unless we see a huge change.

I don't like being as supernatural as that, so I hope you'll be a very good soldier/mage in the end of Gothic 2 instead of a one man army.

I'm sure they'll come up with some logical explanation. They have to.

The whole "knock out from behind" idea, or the "being taken prisoner by the king" will work. It will, of course, depend on the player, because some players finished with a level 40 character while some players finished with a level 25.

A player who only finished it with a level 40 character won't believe the whole "taken prisoner", or "knocked down" because he/she was playing with an invincible character in the end.

No! N.A. you can't, that guy looks like he has bad breath! You know, like Richard Chamberlain, you've never met the guy but you can just tell!

The mages that were not sealed in by the barrier might accompany the King's army and magically subdue the criminals.
Imagine as an openning scene your 39th lvl character being the last con standing but staggering and getting pounded by mages from all directions, and finally falling into darkness....

Probably to wake up in prison later like Ariakas said. Perhaps people still loyal to Lee or friends of the Diego pull off a jail break?

By the way does anyone know who the "Big Bad Guy" in Gothic 2 is (if its not the King himself or Orcs)?

Also (sorry to double post), slightly OT but did anyone notice a distinct lack of defensive spells in Gothic (im not knocking it BTW). While a few ice spells could be used defensively, there were no "Fire/Ice/Bone Shields" or suchlike. If defensive spells were to be included in Gothic 2 maybe mages would have a bit more staying power when enemies get too close. But just a thought.

Well, that might happen, but if you are under Xardas' protection I don't think it is possible due to the fact that the 13 best magicians in the kingdom was locked inside the barrier.

Those left on the outside was nothing compared to Xardas(he actually claims you are more powerful than he is).

But still.. mages are a possibility.
