Looks like some fool decided to put only one weapon mount point on the characters. You hold your bow with your right hand. So everyone is right handed with melee weapons, left handed with bows.
This needs to be fixed. No FAQ said that the game would defy logic. |

If this is the biggest "issue" (I think it's a stretch to call it that...) you have with Morrowind, please, get over it!!
Besides, there's many pro athletes that use both hands...baseball players, for example. Many throw with one hand and use the other (or both) to bat with...

Shouldn't I be able to use whatever hands I want? What if I don't want my character to be a freak who is right handed sometimes and left handed other times? |

Bah. I dunno about you guys but I've done archery in real life and it feels uncomfortable to see the bow on the wrong side of the screen. |

I havent tried it yet, but have you looked at the morrowind.ini, there maybe a line for changing hands for your bow something like bowhand=1 (just for reference that line is something i made up  ) but look in the .ini file, I know you can change stuff like text and stuff as well, give it a try. I can fire quite comfortably left handed, but seeing it on the screen just feels......wrong. Strange.
When I first saw the game trailer movie, and saw the bow on the left, I just thought 'Urg!'
Doubt it'll detract from the game though, used to playing CS (originally all the guns were on the left!).
