In game moral dilemma

Ok some of you may laugh but as I'm playing through the game I have a moral dilemma.

I swiped the sacred hammer to whack the magic golem and to get in good with the judge (I'm playing as a Merc).

My intent had been to give the judge the hammer, then knock him down, get the hammer back, and oblivion him.

As some of you no doubt have found out, that doesn't work. The judge is invulnerable (even to dragonslicer).

So is there any way I can get the hammer back and return it to the monastery?

I'm playing the game pretty ethically and stealing a sacred artifact doesn't set well with me and my intent had been to return it.

I have a save from before I gave him the hammer but I'd prefer to not go back that far.

Why you gived the Sacred Hammer to the judge? The reason you cant knock down the judge is because he is immortal. Also the judge is the same guy that put you into the barrier at gothic1 so if I were you no errants for that filthy judge.

By the way you mentioned something about ethical ways.So something about a "thiefs guild" isnt to your interest? If not you missed a lot!

Hey there scruffyronin,

You have done the right thing to "declare" your moral dilema, it proves you
had no fraudulent intention or intent to deceive when you have explained you wanted to use oblivion, this spell is for game users of even the most righteous
and upright persons, therefore you can do a "live" oblivion in marvin mode, by
posessing, (o) and dropping the hammer (left/alt) then possess back to hereo
and pick up the hammer. (and just like the oblivion) the judge will never know.

you are a mercenary, so don't feel bad it's just in your soul to do good things even if it means if you need to steal and kill people for it
that is the way of the mercenary
