Sorry, I don't mean to be spamming the boards like a newbie... I'm just happy to find other people playing this game.

Ok, so I played around iwht marvin mode a bit, it was kind of interesting, but when it's on it keeps flashing code in the upper left hand corner of the screen (especially when there are eight people standing around a fire pit, for some reason). So is there a way to turn it OFF in the game, or do I have to save and exit in order to make all that stuff go away?

I dont think so without turning of the game. If you want to cheat then check out the best site ever for cheats. http://www.ariakas1.com

Exit the game to turn it off.

I'm using IE 6, it works fine on pulling up the site.

Damn, I have IE 6 to and it doesn't work. For the comp-masters: Does anybody know what's wrong with my comp or with my browser or what?

Will the debug off command keep that weird item information from showing up during game play? I assume it will, but you all know about assuming...

The final answer I give the folks I'm hotlining during the week is 'reinstall'. If all else fails, you might want to reinstall your OS.

To turn off marvin mode,
open your stats screen and type 42 that should do it
as 42 turns off all the cheats.

a) stop using -devmode commandline switch (if you use it)
b) enter stats [S] type [4][2] leave stats [S] -- you should see an "What was the question?" in the upper-left corner

42 simply resets some game options back to default (speed, scaling, and so on).

Do not assume that the huge Golem you inserted in front of you, currently kicking you around, disappears after leaving 'marvin' mode...
Once you used cheats/console and saved the results--it's in your game and infects your game.

last famous words: 'let me insert that demon thing...'
