Morrowind is like the NeverEnding Story, and the community is making great games out of Bethesda's engine. Til these come out I'm replaying the Might and Magic series, starting with MM3: Isles of Terra. It's my favorite of the MM series.

I just wanted to add Spells of Gold to my list. I think a crpg that has a good economic model would be very interesting to play. I remember
playing Starlight which was about exploration and trade. Trading is always
one of my favorite aspects of a game. I loved Seven Cities of Gold for
it's simple, but effective, trade model. I wish someone would remake
Heart of Africa, where you were rewarded for discovering various geographical features, such as finding Victoria Falls and Mount Kilimanjaro.

I like posts like this, it can introduce you to good games you were unaware of. I have to admit I had never heard of Mistmare before, but now am I looking forward to it because of this thread.

I am looking forward to:

Lionheart
Jefferson
Fatherdale: Guardians of Asgard
Greyhawk: The Temple of Elemental Evil
Gothic 2
Mistmare
Project: Phoenix (I saw this at duckandcover.net, they have a forum about it)
Knights of the Old Republic

New RPG: Duality

Has anyone here heard about Duality? It's billed as an RPG/Adventure hybrid. I've read a little bit about it on gamespot.com (it was listed in the latest PC Gamer issue in the previews section, which piqued my interest). It looks really cool. I can't wait to see how it turns out...

crpgnut - You should try out Terminus. It is an RPG/Space Sim which is based around exploration and resource trading.

@Korzen - glad you liked the pic . I don't rightly know what the sparkly things are. All the information on Jefferson would seem to indicate it's a Forgotten Realms D&D game set in the Dale, possibly with a strong undead or lycanthropy theme (insert disclaimer here for the use of rampant speculation).

Any FR experts care to comment on the screenshot?

I was looking forward to Freelancer which is unusual for me because I don't usually like Sci-Fi very much but now I'm playing it and loving it! So now it's just Gothic 2 and (recently--thanks Dhruin ) Sea Dogs 2.

An expedition is under way to locate a copy of the original Sea Dogs!

I don't really care one way or the other about my character's gender... It used to seem weird to me but not anymore. I guess I just got used to the idea that games were generally made with a hero.

I had a really hard time relating to my character the first time I played Gothic but by the time I played Rune I was getting a big kick out of playing the hot Viking with the big muscles! Ragnar rocks so much... he's still one of my all time favorite game characters!

Thanks Arcturus! I'll give it a look. I'll look up Terminus, but if you know who made it and when that might help quite a bit. Hopefully, I'll find links to it right here

@Korzen - the Dale is pure speculation gleaned from hints made by JE Sawyer on the BIS boards so...

@Gig - I'm not due any credit! I just thought it looked cool. But I can almost see you as a pirate, stopping your looting for a quick surf in the Caribbean as you sail through in search of treasure .
