Frustrating to be the Master of Nothing!!

I have become master of the Fighter"s guild, following Mercius's path, but after Hard-Heart is dead wich is the real bonus?
No more quest, no real power over the game world, no particular respect or reputation boost...
I rather prefer the Daggerfall system if is supposed that the Master of the Fighter's guild cannot decide in wich direction the guild itself should move, wich factions support / contrast, at least you got unlimited quests.

My point: there is no evolution or change from hireling to Master... how sad!!!

Well I certainly gained a lot of respect when I became Arch-Magister of Telvanni. The 2000 yr old mages might not be all that impressed but the average Telvanni definately worships me.
Whenever I go to a Telvanni shop or pass a simple villager type person that is associated with the Telvanni their comments towards me are MUCH more respectful. And of course I get the best prices
