Welcome to the Dot Guinevere. Don't let Lintra or Sem cause you any problems. If they do, let me know. I have my own ways of dealing with those two. 
They are right about Gothic. At some point you must play it. It is a classic not to be missed. Have fun and always feel free to ask questions in the game forums if you need it.
