another crash problem

The game freezes all the time, I changed a lot of things in gothic.ini but it still crashes, I turned off sound, changed graphic options, cutscene options(first it crashed after the pirahna logo - the menu wouldn't even load) even played in Windowed mode. It freezes when it want's and it doesn't give any error message. The strange thing is that if it works for 20 min it will work for 5 - 200 H but if I close it and start again I'm preety sure it will crash. It's driveing me craaaaazy.

Whats your system spec ? Are you running XP Pro ?

I had similar problems initially - I fixed most of them now. Its a shame it comes down to this tho cos when your computer hangs, system files can get corrupted, screwing your whole pc - I had to do a rebuild.

my pc crashes and says gothic caused an error in msvcrt.dll file,this game is great but its got too many damned bugs!
specs-p3 800mhz geforce 2,sb live 5.1,256ram
