| No English version of the Raven? |
|
so there will be no english version lof the Raven? Too bad! Is it because Gothics do not sell well for english speaking world? or just some thing else? |

Nobody really knows. It's something about an agreement between JoWood and Atari, Atari having the rights to Night of the Raven, but not wanting to release it. Then JoWood got the rights back or something, and now nobody knows what's going to happen. We'll probably see it one day, but for now english speaking players will have to play the add-on with a translation mod(look at gothic.rpgdot.com to learn how to install it). It works great really, and the add-on makes the game much better, and much more challenging. |

I may want to try the english version. But when I open the referred link, it 's all german and I have no idea what it means. |

You need to have the German add-on at all in order to play if(of course).
After that, you need to patch your old English german with a German patch, to make the add-on install to an exe file it recognizes. Install add-on. Patch add-on. Install translation mod.
That's how easy it is.

The release has been postponed till who knows. Although some sources say Jowood is working on it, it doesn't seem the release is anywhere near. Neither are there any usefull confirmed posts of messages from Jowood's side.
For a few euro's more you'll have a GOLD edition with also G2 in German. The translation mod will also add the normal translation, so you'll have a complete german game with subtitles instead of a weird mixture of english and german voice-acting.

We´ve heard many rumors in the last few weeks, including a copied email which seems to be from JoWooD, saying that the add-on will possibly be released in various languages in Q1. All this can be found in the forum.
