There are two other ways into MB available to you right now. Eventually that will increase to 4 plus the front door you've already done. If you've been talking to lots of NPCs, you've heard of some tunnels. You WANT to do that area. You can also get over the wall at one spot. That catapult would make a nice bridge if the arm were forward instead of back. Hmmm... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

Heh, when I first got to Marten's Bluff I was obsessed with the catapult, and I kept clicking on it but nothing happened. I even tried to get an axe from Crock and tried to use it on the section where your cursor turns into a hand (over the rope); unfortunately, the game doesn't let you use weapons as items
Turns out I was just clicking on the wrong part of the catapult's rope mechanism. I have graphics on 640x480 and that little lever was hard to see!
Anyway, I misinterpreted the NPCs directions... Crock was mentioning the Sea Caves, and I assumed that was where I was supposed to go. I avoided the Mine Tunnels because that didn't seem like the place to be (and I didn't see how it could possible lead to Marten's Bluff, since it seemed so geographically distant).
Oh well, I guess my guys are just bumblin about all over the place... No wonder the Rynjin area seemed so hard

Hmm.. about Marten's Bluff...This seemed strange to me at the time, but the first time I went to Marten's Bluff, I was able to open the main entrance, then the first sliding glass door (into the elevator room), and then take the elevator down to the T'Rang and Z'ant.
Now, when I go to Marten's Bluff, I can't even get through that sliding glass door into the elevator room; I can't visit the T'Rang anymore (or explore Marten's Bluff for that matter). Is this part of the game, or did I encounter another major bug?
Note that both times I've been to Marten's Bluff, none of the other doors opened for me except for the ones I've mentioned. But the 2nd time, I can't even get into elevator room.
BTW, on the faction rating, the T'Rang are still "Friendly"

Going from the swamp through the mine tunnels into Marten's Bluff doesn't take that long, and it gives you a chance to pick up my favorite NPC, RFS-81. Plus, there are doors in Marten's Bluff that won't open without two different items - a pulse pick and an...um..appendage that you pick up in Upper Marten's Bluff. That's why you're having so much trouble moving around there.
I would recommend going back and going into MB through the mine tunnels so that you can visit the places you haven't been and get the stuff you'll need for later. Then you'll be able to go up the STAIRS (not elevator) into UMB, which will take you to some rooms you missed the other way. |

Yah, and after you've gotten up those stairs, go down some on the other side of there, you gotta open that iron trapdoor in the lawn behind the Catapult, careful not to fall into the moat on your way around...then you can go back down there to repair the Trangaporter once you get the wires. |
