ya, trying to buy things like potions is a pain...and the woman, except for about 2, are hags. however luckily they put in this wonderful construction set, and ive already heard of people making "pretty faces" mods soon to be released. other than that, they already said they making a patch, so i think we good...this game is way too good to stop playing for such stupid reasons, although they are annoying =]

You can lower the view distance...

Want faster framerates? Then lower then view distance for God sakes, the original poster of this thread had better been talking about the Xbox version because he said theres no way to lower graphic details. but in the PC version you can lower the view distance (clip plane) thus decreasing the amount of polygons and boosting those frame rates up.

Haaaaters :)

I have a AMD Athlon 1.2g, 384mb ram, G4 MX440 overclocked to equivilent of the highest G4 Ti (im wanting to say Ti4600??). And I dont have any problems really with the game graphiclly, and If I do, I just lower the view distance. Though I admit *some* of the animations could be tweaked, my biggest note is the 'walking' animation for humanoid races... I dont know about you but when I walk I dont lean back and sway my arms up to my chest and sway my shoulders, with my hands wide open like im carrying two ballons, as I try to march in a band but suck at it. the running animation, good, attack animations, pretty good, spellcasting..pretty good. NPC voice variety is also good for the massive amount of NPCs there are, some people may suggest them 'mindless' because they all say "Outlander, what do you want?" or something of that sort, but lets be reasonble here, do you know what it would take to give all those NPCs unique 'greetings' and voice-overs? its just not logical, cut em some slack, I mean have you opend the editor and seen how much dialog and unique voiced dialog there is? They deserve credit for that. And people who complain about females not having 'pretty faces'... remeber this isnt eq, where women walk around with double D (DD) sized breast and fake lips with dyed hair. Yes they arent perfect, but dont bash them because you cant get off on the female models. I played EQ so I honestly like the combat system, and the no HP bar for enemies isnt a biggie either, its more realistic(along with the color pallet), which it seems Morrowind is striving for, but they do not sacrifice reality for gameplay in most issues, as any good developer would. After I played EQ for 2-3 years, I played Dark Age of Camlot for about 5-6months, Morrowind made me quit Dark Ages, im a hardcore fan of MMORPGS, but after EQ lost its magic, and DAOC was the only person there to crayy me on, Morrowind quickly changed my mind, and now is now currently my favorite game since I was still with my buddies back in EQ.....I think most miss MMORPGS most for their community & their friends, and not nessicarily the acual game... but thats a side story alltogether, Praise Morrowind and Bethedsa for a job well done (pretty much) and just hope for that patch to tweak it up a bit. When judging Morrowind, judge it with logic, respect, and most importantly...well thought out, un-biased common sense.

My main character ended up being a Breton Female mainly because she was the only good looking character I could come up with.

But my only really strong complaint about the game is the character animation.
Has anyone played "Summoner" the combat animation is really good and as your characters get better it shows on the screen as they acquire new moves and skills.

The jumping is really bad; I have noticed a lot of RPGs that could have been much more enjoyable with good character animation one that comes to mind is “Mask of Eternity” I never went back and played it over because I couldn’t stand the way the main character moved around like a rusty robot.

I still think that the best character animation I have seen is in Tomb Raider.
I would love to see a good RPG where you can have that kind of control over the figure. Able to climb, jump, duck, crawl, flip, and move around like a real person. You can even see Lara's breath when she's in a cold place, not to mention dripping when she climbs out of the water.

I've been playing this game about few days now, i really don't care if it stutters and it gives low framerates in towns, i found it still very playable, all i have to do is save often, cause it likes to throw me back to windows, it's true that Betsheda should do patch for correcting some bugs in game code. But even with bugs, i have enjoyed playing this game.
AMD 1.2mhz
Asus A7V133-C mobo
512mb 133ram
Geforce3 ti 500
Windows XP pro
Not the highest kickass computer , but at least i can play with it
EDIT: Forgot to mention, i have all drivers up to date, but it might be hardware related problems that i have here, haven't figured it out yet and i'm running this game with all goodies on at 1024*768*32.
