Still finish game with failed quests?

I was just about ready to join the mage guild when I found I had failed the Baltrams Shipment and Brazen thief quests. Will these failures negatively impact the rest of the game or stop me from finishing?

No. They are just side quests and these "failures" will not have any impact on your future progress at all.

Some you have to fail, in order to get "other" side quests.
