SWG: State of the Game Letter from Rich Vogel

The 'Star Wars: Galaxies' website has been updated with a State of the Game Letter from Executive Producer Rich Vogel. Well, if I were a Jedi I'd use Jedi mind trick now and tell you that there's nothing to see and to move along but since I'm not a Jedi, I'll let ya decide for yourself whether you want to submit yourself to this inane marketing blurb or not .

Wow!
Sounds like they'll be out of Beta in another 4 to 6 months!

I just read it, and my IQ dropped by -30 points. Seriously, these guys need to cut back on the drugs. I know its been fun making the game, but still, they are so out of touch with reality.

SWG team, You should have said "No..."

to drugs.

heh.

It reads like a pretty desperate plea for people to stick with it to me.

"We cocked up the code but have now kicked exploiters, illegal auctioneers and fixed the worst bugs"

"Our subscription price has set a bar for MMORPGs"

"The space combat we promised at launch hasn't happened but we'll tell you more about it a year after the launch"

"Woot, you're really going to like what we're planning for chefs *yawn*"

"Our development managers have been told to make sure their developers are allocated time to, er, develop the game"

"Er, that's it"

Dream on guys, the game simply isn't worth the money and without the SW tie-in no-one would even be bothering with it.
