| Someone Spoil Me About Hosh Pak |

I am playing G2 again and the first time through I killed Hosh-Pak to help the Paladins. Later on I discovered that Ur-Shaq respected him and he breaks off your friendship when he finds out you did the deed.
My question is, is there another solution to the Hosh Pak quest? Will a different outcome result if I don't kill him? This time through, I talked to Ur-Shaq before meeting Hosh Pak and he told me all the usual stuff he said the first time. SInce Hosh pak was not dead this time, I thought that perhaps other options would be open but they were not.
If I had spoken to UrShaq first in my previous game I might not have done the Hosh Pak assasination.

No, if you want to make Ur-Shak move from his place above Fajeth's mining expedition then you will need to kill Hosh-Pak and subsequently make Ur-Shak your enemy. Sadly PB didn't offer another solution to this dilema were you should not kill Hosh-Pak. I didn't like it making Ur-Shak my enemy, since he was a fine fellow in Gothic 1. |

Ur-Shak was a friend in Gothic 1 who helped you to enter the orc village. So why should I kill him or make him an enemy. You really need all the friends and help you can get to survive in the Gothic world.
