Yeah, I know it's a FAQ but I wasn't able to find a satisfactory answer to my question (I did a search of the forums, but all the answers have links to forum messages that don't seem to work, anymore. At least, everytime *I* click on 'em, it just takes me back to the main forums page <sigh>).
Okay, I know In Extremo is real a German band and that they were in the original release of Gothic but cut from the American release. I also learned that all the graphics and sounds for the act are still in the game, they just don't show up automatically. Apparently they can be summoned up via some console commands. What I want to know is exactly what steps I need to do this.
From what I understand, you gotta INSERT a whole bunch of characters and then...? Well, I tried just INSERTing them (found a list on In Extremo characters on another Gothic site) but they just stood there and didn't play so there must be more to it. Maybe I'm missing a band member? Do they only play at a certain time of day? What's the next step? |

You´re close. 
I´m reproducing this from memory (IE are of course in my German version).
Insert all band members, the announcer has to be last.
Leave the OC. Cavalorn should be far enough.
Return to the OC. The band should start.
All this has to be done in chapter 2.
In Extremo are an excellent live band. You should check them out on their next world tour.

the announcer will trigger this event i would wait to insert him when you are ready to hear them play back at the old camp. |

It's so weird... I remember somehow I was able to get the band to appear in Ch2 without inserting them the first time I play the game, but I did not know how. It just...appeared... I have never seen the band appear ever since then... So weird...
