Sabotain: Interview and Screenshots @ GenGamers

GenGamers has an interview with Serge Aldoukhov from Avalon Style Entertainment about the recently-revived 'Sabotain: Break the Rules':
Let´s talk about the gameplay, please! Is Sabotain: Break The Rules a typical shooter or will you implent interesting gameplay variations?

The main point is that Sabotain is actually a mixture of RPG and shooter. Besides there is very deep immersion into the story with lot’s of talking. So the role-playing system allows to play two types of a Hero – a commando with stronger arms abilities or an female assassin with more sneaky skills.
Thus there is a set of skills and attributes player has to manage. Attributes affect statistic figures (like ‘strength’ affects amount of total ‘weight’ a character can carry, ‘endurance’ – ‘health’, etc.). Skills are divided into two types: combat skills and additional skills. In total there are 5 attributes, 6 types of combat skills and 8 additional skills. Combat skills influence the damage amount so you can pump up only light weapons and shoot down punks with a pistol faster then with plasma launcher with low energy weapon skill. Additional skills include a couple health restoration skills, stealth, science and some other. It’s hard to tell what would be more important and that where a player can choose his own style of play and experiment with what’s better.
A collection of new screens accompanies the article.

Wow cool really looking forward for it !
Another RPG/FPS mix !

And it seems they will "nearly" keep their promises concerning the release date...
They promise Q2 2004 but though it's not gold yet, it's reported by a developper as finished !
