Greetings - I'm looking for a picture of Trias the Betrayer from Planescape: Torment. I searched and searched, but didn't find one... there was at least one site where I dled it, but I had to weed out my galleries once because of storage space problems, and now that site has vanished and I just can't find another one with a Trias pic.
And I'm too lazy to install and play through P:T again...
Help will be greatly appreciated.

I might, and I repeat might, have a saved game near Trias, but I don't know how to take a screen-shot, or what ever kind of picture you want. |

I'd like to have the rendered pic that appears in your 'bestiary' after you meet someone! That would be so great...
And as for screenshots, a simple 'print screen' would do (I hope).

I have a saved game at the end, so I have a full bestiary, but I don't know how to get the picture. |

Just open the bestiary with the characters in it, choose Trias (he ought to be there somewhere along with his pic), press the 'print screen' key on your keyborad, close the game, open a new doc (either Photoshop or Powerpoint or Word or whatever), insert the screenie there, save the doc... and you're set!

Just pressing prt screen works for regular screenshot, I took one just to be sure, but it's not takeing them when in the journal, not unless it's putting them somewhere other than the screenshot folder.
I want to learn how to do this, if I ever reach 300 posts I want to use the True Shadow pic, but just hitting prt scr isn't working. I wonder if there is a Torment froum we could check somewhere.

Windows usually stores the stuff on the clipboard... wait, I'll install P:T again to find out if it works...
Okay, it works just as I described. Insert the stuff from you clipboard into another program after you made the 'prt scr' pic, and you have the pic.

Ok, I have Trias in a clipboard file, clp, but I can't put him into another format. I tried converting to: bmp, gif, jpeg. I tried opening the file in all four formats with: windows imaging, paint, even works, but I can't get it to open as anything but a clipboard file.
I'm going to send it to you in clip board format, because that's the only one that's working, so you can play with it. If you manage to convert it to a workable picture file, other than clp, get back to me and tell me what you did. |

Thanks a lot! I'll tell you for sure.
If it doesn't work, you might also send me your savegame...

Heh, I could have done that too (if I was faster than Calis) but then of course to my own site:
http://www.locusinn.com/index.php?hsaction=100&game=pst&dir=characters/Trias&l1=char&l2=s
BTW Calis, I don't think your list of monsters/NPC's is complete is it?

Yeah, we lost the old domain name (host owned it).

Not sure, we came a long way I think, but the page hasn't been updated for, oh, about 20 months? Torment was released December 99, and I'm pretty sure all of the npc / monster / walkthrough stuff was done in the first months after release. Also I might've lost a bit because I had to restore the site from my harddrive... the old IPlayGames site just went *poof* and they said there was no way to get it back. Effectively screwing me over on about 18 months of forum posts. That was fun. |
