It's all a matter of taste.
I think the graphics look good and I'd much rather have this old
style of rpg gameplay than Gothic's style of adventure game. Gothic never really reminded me of a true rpg. While a decent game, I would consider it more of an adventure game.
Stop comparing everything to Gothic, as if it was the greatest rpg of all time. It most certainly wasn't and I can live without the graphics, if the fun and rpg qualities are there. |

Comparison's with Gothic are inevitable, and since Gothic is a masterpiece series, DL will have a lot to measure up against. That said, I agree with Stamar that most of the commentary on the demo was short sighted, and almost showed a desire to dislike the game. Once you get the controls down, and understand the character development a little, DL is a fun game.
