Ok, so let me get this straight, in a previous post, someone mentioned that there were no runes for summons. I guess my first question is, can you actually summon creatures in Gothic? Secondly, if he was not talking about summoning, does he mean that there are no runes for transforming? Would someone please tell me if you can actually summon anything in Gothic, and would you also please clarify if there are separate spells that summon, and spells that transform. Also I would appriciate it if someone could tell me what there are, and aren’t runes for in the game. And also, if possible, would Anyone be kind enough to compile a list of the different runes you have found through the game.
Thank you all in Advacne.

There are spells that you can cast unlimited times by using runes, provided you have enough mana and have learned up to that magic level. The summoning and transformation spells, I believe, are only found in scroll form. Which means that they can only be cast once per scroll. This isn't really a problem though since scrolls are available in quantity. |

Thank you for responding, I guess my biggest problem now is deciding which class to play, mage or fighter. I am at the stage the game where I must choose, but seeing as how there are no runes for the spells that I would have liked to play with the most, I don't know if it is worth playing a mage anymore (that would have been my first choice). can anyone tell me weather it is worth it to play a mage, or if I should just stick to a fighter with enough points in mana to use the more powerfull scrolls.
Thanks again. |

You can be both a mage and a fighter. If you join up with a mage guild, you can still use weapons like a fighter. Or if you go to the sect camp and become a templar you can learn up to the 4th circle of magic and learn two handed weapons. |

Dang, too bad I didn't ask this quiestion a lot sooner, because I would have joined the sect canp if I had known templers could use magic. Well, i'm already in the okd canp, is there anyway I can become a mage and learn two-handed weapons stil? |
