TES: Can not get objects into game anymore? |
|
I can not get objects into the game suddenly.
I have tried sticking them in the stumps, barrels near Census office, on ground.
I save the plugin, load it when I start morrowind but objects do not appera.
So I go back into TES and load Plugin, it shows everything OK.
Any Idea, I am really getting frustrated, have made several objects before and they where in game with no hassels.

Try either,
A) Make sure you have the .esp file set to run in the Data Files...
or
B) Try starting a new game... I have noticed at times, if I have modded something that I have saved the game in (while that .esp was running) i often get errors, such as missing items.... dead guys attacking me... skeletons with spinning heads(mildy humorous)... ect... _________________

The data file id selected to load.
Man whats the point of modding new quest and items if you have to start a game every time.
I hve added several things in the past that worked, now its suddenly not going to work anymore?
Maybe I should try loading in to Construction program other mods I am using in game?
We need a d@mn manual. Or to have The Official Morrowind Boards to work consistently! _________________ Emerald Viper

Well, i can suggest only this then...
The onyl way to make certian it loads in an existing game is to save it as a new .esp file... mod till you cant mod no more, but youll have tons of .esps to load to play... _________________

From what I've experienced if you have opened the container in question in the game,it will not update if you place objects into it through the editor. I think that after using containers the info of what is in it is stored in your save file. |

Maybe true but not always. My first Mod was after my character had leveled to 2. And I place a Ring Of Thievery I made into the Barrel by Census Office ( where I had take the ring of Keley earlier) and it worked. maybe after second time it stops.
But I have also tried droping the Items on the ground and they do not show up?

If i need to put a new item in, i just make an ESP for that specific item, mainly so i dont get errors on load... easiest and by far the least annoying way that ive found. _________________

I've successfully placed objects in the world. Sometimes however if I placed it in the same module as where my character was I had to leave and then come back for it to appear.
Also one time when I had the problem I discovered that I had not set the z coordinates properly and the object was above the room.

OK an update to my problem:
Took a Mod I use all the time and added some new things. I added a Barrel near the Census office next to a building in middle of town. Place my Ring of Alchemy and Cheap Belt of Strength in the Barrel. Saved, load up the game...Gues WHAT, no frickin objects!
So I left area and came back, NO OBJECTS.
Rested, NO OBJECTS.
Started a new game...I'll be D@MEND, theres the new stuff!
How the H are we supposed to MOD the game if it will not added the stuff unless we start OVER?
I added things before into an existing game.
This is really starting to P me off!
WHat are we suppose to do?
IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM? _________________ Emerald Viper

All this time, and all my belly aching and b1tch1ng and all I had to do is make sure my character was not in same area as added objects. Like save him in bitter Coast then place objects in Seyda Neen.
