i want to submit some avatars but there's things i'm not sure about.
1)i knew the size is 60x60 pixels, but how about the color quality - i got some pics with 24 bit color, could its usable? (or how about 32/16/256 bit color?)
2)should i need permission to use wallpaper from certain games & edit its to become avatars?
3)i never submit avatars before, so could i paste its into microsoft word docs, then attach the word docs to email & send out? or there's other ways around? _________________

As for the color depth... experiment around a bit. The lesser the color depth, the lesser bandwidth is used, but some pics won't look as good in lesser color depth. So try it out.
As for file format, which program do you use to edit your pics? Sending them as .jpgs in a Word doc would be making it more complicated than it is. Do you have Paintshop Pro? ACDSee? Just save them as .jpg or .gif (whichever will be smaller, depending on the pic in question). _________________ Jaz |

Is 60 the max size of the avatar.
I can make avatars 38x60 or 60x94. Which is better.
I already send examples to Myrthos _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Yes, 60 is the max size for a 'normal' (i.e., not special) avatar. 35x60 would be allowed but not 60x90. _________________ Jaz |

eh?, well, you should check up the additional avatars option at the lowest section at your profile setting page. There's several avatars categories such as gothic, NWN, final phantasy, etc. The two available avatars you saw/mentioned actually is the default or the first category only....
After 500 post, you can choose your own avatars (you create your own or find it from internet & then send it to Myrthos & they'll put up that avatar). _________________

Go to profile and then avatar gallery.
Where it says ABC Warriors, there is an arrow beside it that will open a menu for other galleries. Select one of the other galleries for more avatars. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Which template are you using? That may be the problem. Try switching templates and then selecting an avatar. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

It's a problem of the Last Crusade template. It will be fixed...
=EDIT=
I fixed the template. Myrthos uploaded it. Avatars should now work correctly in the Last Crusade as well. _________________ Jaz |
