If you have the English version of the game then you don't have to change the .ini file. The cheats have been intergrated into the game. Start the game, open your character screen, type 'marvin' (you will not see the text), then exit the screen. The words marvin-mode should appear in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Type F2 to open the console and type in cheats. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If you have the German version you needn't fiddle with the .ini either... see what Val wrote. It's the same procedure.
What do you expect from going into devmode? Be a bit more specific about your problem and we might be able to help you even better. _________________ Jaz |

Don't throw the cd away just because you cannot turn on the test mode! (test mode is similar to cheating mode) Gothic is a great game. _________________ =Farseer=

Do you go right? Or do you go left? A simple decision, yes? No ambiguities. Only the dream of the path not taken! And so one might stand in this place and contemplate for a long while. What will I miss if I go left? What will I lose if I go right? And in my indecision, have I chosen a worse fate? |
