I just wanted to catch your attention. I am running a geforce 2gts. I was wondering for those 8500 radeon users if you have any problems with the game or those of you with geforce 3.
I am going to grab a radeon all in wonder 8500dv video card and need to know these things incase i need to build a second pc.
My real question is
Does the game use perpixel shader or vertex lighting from the new cards? |

I have a GF3 and I have no problems with Gothic since nVidia released the new 23.11 drivers. |

The game works fluid, and the graphics are great.

Yes I can! The new drivers will fix all the "flicker" problems with shadows and flames. You should get them especially if you have XP as it apparently helps with other things too. |

I'm playing the game on a 8500 and it works fantastic. I had some problems with the game dropping to the desktop every so often when I started but this turned out to be the sound blaster Audigy card in my rig. For some reason setting the sound to Miles instead of EAX fixed the problem and the game has not crashed once since I changed it.
I have the 8500 running in 32 bit at 1024x768 and everything looks great. I tried higher resolutions and they work fine but I cannot read the text, it gets very small. |

thanks for the 8500 reply, even though a negative response from it would still not bother me from not getting the card. 8500 all in wonder, dvd purner, dv camera...movie making..and playing gothic...my life is complete. |
