Im a Gothic noobie and I'm having problems with my sound selection. I have a SB Live/Win 98se. I chose EAX and DirectSound, but neither selection would stick. Instead it defaults to Mines or something like that...

The ambient conversations cut off when I walk/turn away. I chose 4 speakers, but I cant hear conversations in my rear speakers.

Please help.

Did you press enter after making the new choice and before hitting the back button?

Yeah, I can't get the 4 speaker selection to stick either. Actually, it seems like Gothic is turning my AudioHQ for my soundblaster Live back to 2-speakers. This is under WindowsXP.

I tried just about everything. It is not the actual game setting that is not working, it actually turns my audio setup in windows back to 2 speakers whenever the game starts.
