um...yeah....about gothic...
anyone figure out how to edit magic circles?

If you want to add them, just use the character helper after giving yourself enough skill points to learn the new circle.
If you want to subtract them... well... haven't figured that out. But I don't exactly try and find ways to add and subtract skills...

Its a little insertable guy you can activate with marvin mode. Just insert ch. He can teach you any skill and stat in the game if you have the character points. But you have to master 1 hand before getting 2, and bow before crossbow, and circle 1 through 5 before six... etc. He's just a supertrainer... a helper. Not a walking editor.
insert sh gives you the storyhelper. He can set what key quest and chapter you're in. Just in case, like what happened to me, Diego throws you back to chapter one during chapter three when you start hunting focus stones.
Both guys are in german, though. It's not too hard to figure out ... after all... the numbers (+5, +1.... 1,2,3,4,5 for the chapters) aren't.

any other insert helper guys we should know about?
the insert ch guy makes an excellent xp giver. insert about a hundred of 'em, charge up storm of fire and let 'er rip!!!

Oh, and BTW. A Character Helper is locked up in an inaccessible dungeon under the grid in the middle of the Ore Barons' courtyard.
I don't think there's even a way to meatbug into that place.
