Star Wars: KotOR 2: High-Quality Media patches Released

The high-quality media patches to improve the quality of the movies and music in Obsidian's 'Star Wars: Knights of the Old Replublic II - The Sith Lords' has been released. You'll need a hefty ~1.4Gb worth of bandwidth and space, split across 7 files. Head here to nVidia's NZone, where they are hosted.

Err I am confused, so after 2 hugely sucessful games and 3(?) years Lucas Arts has decided maybe higher quality matters?

Can someone please clarify this, as I didnt want to waste to much energy thinking Lucas Arts actually gives a crap

I've forgotten the exact details but the movies in KotOR2 (not KotOR) were pretty low-res and the music was compressed with a low sample rate (11khz ?). Anyway, there was a cry on the official boards for better quality movies and sound and one of the Obsidian guys agreed it shoyuld be an easy thing to do. Seems to have taken a while to get LucasArts to agree.
