Gothic 2 Demo - Wilderness Effect

I for one can't stand the fact that you are visionally disabled when upon entering the forests. Is it possible to disable this new graphics feature? If there happens to be an option in the game menu, could you tell me what the german word is and what it needs to be changed too? I greatly appreciate any help. Also, any news on a english demo? I was informed by a reliable source that the game would be on American shelves by the end of February. I would think there would be a demo released prior to this. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You mean the vegetation that sometimes obscures your view? I don't think there is an option for that. You can however switch to first-person (F) which often gets you a better view.
