ive finished all the monkey islands like 7 times 
damn i love lucas arts adventure games..
my first adventure game was monkey island 1.. then monkey 2.. then loom.. and so forth and so on.

some one grabbed an adventure game, made it so you had life, and put in some d&d stuff, like stats 
thats all the diff is for an rpg and an adventure game
