Can't Pick up items

I just came across a small problem I hope someone can help me with.

I dropped all my items (armour, weapons, magic scrolls etc.) on one of the bridges in Vivec so that I could jump up on one of the cantons. Having found nothing up there I went back to my items and now I can't pick them up. The name of the item or its description doesn't show up. It's like the objects are out of range or doen't exist. All I get is the crosshairs passing over the objects and nothing happens.

If anyone can solve this I'd appreciate it.

Have you trided any angle posible.
Maybe it is easier to go back to a older savegame.
I normaly have 3 savegames: 1 quicksave, 1 for medium length and one for long periods (if i'm certain i did not make any mistakes)

I've tried every angle, sneaking etc and still no good.
I don't have a recent savegame either (changing the way i save games after this lesson).

I've also uninstalled the game and reinstalled without the patch - still doesn't work.
Also anything else I drop on the bridge between the cantons acts the same - I can't pick it up or even have the crosshairs identify it.
