David Allen speaks on Horizons

David Allen was the former designer of Horizons, who left the company to found Pharaoh Productions. He speaks at length about the game, as well as other things in this forum <a href="http://boards.pharaoh-productions.com/viewtopic.php?t=1330&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30">tidbit</a>.
<br>
<br>Here's a sample:
<br>
<br>"HORIZONS is the first project that I have never finished, because I was not given a chance to do so – it was taken from me by those who wanted it. Understand that everything you see from Artifact today is based on what I built and put together, regardless of the result; so in reality given the fact that the two people running the company I originally hired, I have delivered and done my job. We wouldn’t be having this discussion nor would you be attempting to support a product known as HORIZONS if I didn’t build Artifact, raise the capital, and hire the people I did."
<br>
<br>Juicy to say the least.

This game really seems on a rocky road to failure.

Many have said Horizons is a unfinished AC2, now that's bad if true. Why did they get rid of him to produce such gunck.

Very interesting story! Thanks.

Easy. David Allen doesn't make games; he thinks them. It took the current crew to actually make the game. You know, if David Allen was serious about attracting capital for his next pie-in-the-sky project, he'd quit with the crybaby ranting about all them big meanies and how they stole his game. God knows, I wouldn't invest in a project headed by such an unprofessional and sulky whiner. Would you?
