Hoo...finally did it. Just for future reference, there were 3 Ylsides in the path back to the meteor, and I had to kill 2 of them (I slid by the last one).
Basically, the magic rings cmc mentioned, and a new sword solved the problem. Plus lots of healing potions. It was tough, but at least I'm onward to some new adventures. Thanks again cmc and dood. |

I thought there was only one the first time in there. My mistake. Glad to hear you made it. Hope the rest goes a little easier, now that you know what to expect. Have fun. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Sir Markus - Congratulations dispatching the Ylsides! Did you use both magic and weapons, weapons only, magic only...? |

I used some fireballs, and just whacked them, and used LOTS of health potions. The first one I beat with the Ciprian sword and the second I beat with the 2 handed sword I found on the first Ysilde.
The rings that gave me 10 percent to magic seemed to help.
The problem now is the Human City and Human Kingdom have these things too, so now I don't have access to health potions via the shops that seem to be closed. Grrrr...
I wish I had known when I started that you couldn't make a tank type character based on physical abilities; I should have put more into magic. |

Sir Markus - I'm impressed. Whacking away at Ylsides is hard to do. Glad you got the fireballs working as well. Congrats once again. |

Did you try going back to rebel camp to buy stuff? They should still be there. And if you have stuff to make your own potins, don't forget the still in the mines near the rebel camp. If your object knowledge is high enough you can make some for yourself. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

I had problems with Ylsides earlier too, but after leveling up and getting the meteor sabre they are quite easy to kill.
The first time you were in the temple, you should have opened the back entrace to the temple from Goblin area. That way you could have returned to the temple without killing any Ylsides.
When Ylsides have invaded Arx, You should teleport straight to the castle and not to the City of Arx. Make your way to the castle prison by taking the secret pathway near the prison. This way you have to kill only two Ylsides along your way.
There is one way you can kill Ylsides easily. It requires some magic or scrolls though and works only in narrow corridors (like the ones in the castle). When a Ylside is approaching you, cast Create Energy Field. Ylsides are fast but stupid, so they try to walk through the field. Then cast Create Fire Field, which will be created to other side of the energy field. The Ylside will burn to death :) Beware though, your mana will decrease quite rapidly. |

Great tip. I'm nearly to that point again. I'll have to try it that way once and see what happens. Thanks. Always learning something new here. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Nice, if I could help. However, I am still stuck with two Akbaa rocks missing so I cannot finish the game. I dropped them in the City of Arx, but due to a bug, they are nowhere anymore. I would appreciate if someone could send me a saved game by e-mail so I could finish the game (even though it would be someone else's character). I know those damn saved game files are quite big but I would be very grateful to have one... |

I'm no where near that point yet, but if no one else tries by the time I get that far I'll give it a stab. I'm not the most computer savy so you may need to help me help you. I do have one hint for you about dropping stuff. I found I can't see stuff I drop in the wrong place, but it is still there. If I can get the hand to hover over it, the name shows up. No picture but just the name if you are holding the pointer in the right spot. If you are sure you dropped them in the city it might be worth a few minutes trying to get them to come back to you. Also look in the walls and ceiling, if you drop stuff it sometimes ends up hanging in the surroundings just anywhere. Let me know if you get a save game, otherwise I'll send you a private message when I get all five stones again. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=
