Just wondering what's your opinion of this band?

Thx in advance

They rock!
I saw them live some years ago, when they were relatively unknown. Great show.

In Extremo will be unknown to most players of the English Gothic version because reactivating the concert requires cheating.

ups...got your point.
K, a short explanation:
In Extremo is the band giving the one-song concert on the stage in the Old camp next to the main entrance.
In Extremo is a real German band from Berlin and we cooperated with these guys during the development of GOTHIC.
We went to the MoCap-studio, took their original moves i.e. playing instruments, singing and spitting fire...and we got this song they perform in GOTHIC 'Herr Mannelig' from their at that time actual CD 'Verehrt und angespien'
Hope this helps...

TomTom, if you are from phenomedia as your profile states, then could you please tell us why the concert was omitted in the english version.

Hi Mr. Ano Nymous,

we didn't get the rights from the music publisher to use the band and the song in other GOTHIC versions than the German...
Sorry about that ((

Not your fault...but a strange decision from their publisher imho...
I mean they would've gotten "free advertisement" and have had their music played worldwide...might've made some new fans and sold some more albums that way...

It was a pity it was omitted in the English version... but the ways of industry are strange and manifold.

Music is sometimes great part of game (in last few years).
For example intro music from Gorasul is best part of that game for me. It is really great.

I really enjoyed the concert in chapter2. It was pretty spectacular and the song was well chosen. Maybe even the best single episode in the whole game.

IMHO the complete music score was excellent. I turn the music off after a few hours in almost every game. Somehow I forgot this when I played Gothic.

from what i've read, ya gotta do a lot of stuff to get the hole concert going, and honestly i'm really lazy . so could u tell me the supposed reason they perform in the game? (the real reason being that they're supposedly "rockin'")
